Photographers

You may have noticed a lot of pretty pictures while perusing Holly Beardsley Plays. (We LOVE pretty pictures.) Over the years we have worked with many talented photographers. Below are the photographers whose work has appeared on HollyBeardsley.com.

Erin Reed Photography

"My name is Erin Reed and I began Erin Reed Photography in 2011. I have always loved and been interested in photography. As a child, my father worked part time taking wedding photos and every time he got a new piece of equipment, he tested out on me and my siblings. I was thrilled every time Dad's silver case of filters and lenses came out. I looked at every single one, imagining the things they could do. He passed his old cameras to me as I got older, to practice, play and learn.

A few years ago, my husband bought me my first DSLR after years of being resistant to switching from film to digital. I was instantly hooked! Finally the things I was seeing in my head could be transferred to the camera. My love of photography was renewed and quickly turned to obsession. That obsession leads me to where I am today."

Erin is probably my favorite photographer, ever. She has a fantastic eye for light and composition. But most of all, I think she captures the youth of the actors in a really beautiful way. She is located in Huntley, Illinois, and worth any road trip to secure her services. (Trust me.)

James Richardson

The easiest way to describe James is "artist." He not only does beautiful work in-camera, he is a wiz with computer editing and special effects. (You've never had a photo shoot until the photographer whips out a fog machine. The kids loved that, I tell ya.)

James is located in Huntley, Illinois.

Parents, Tracey Dickson Ziolkowski and Robin Smith

Never forget that the pool of talent in your students often stems from some pretty talented parents. I'd like to give a shout out to two mothers with some real talent, Tracey Dickson Ziolkowski and Robin Smith. There were, and are, a dozen more talented volunteers, but Tracey and Robin are the ones I steal from most. You know, with love. Steal, with love.
